BANGALORE, AUG. 3. The Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, said today that the Government was fully prepared to defend the legislation on the professional-college seat-sharing issue in the Supreme Court. The Government had appointed eminent lawyers to argue its case and meet the challenge posed by the private managements' petition against the legislation. Besides, the former Chief Minister, M. Veerappa Moily, would be in New Delhi to monitor the developments on the admissions issue, he told presspersons here. Reacting to the re-counselling ordered for government quota medical seats, the chairman of the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K), R.L. Jalappa, said it would only increase the confusion.
