Police hunt for eve-teaser

A youngster allegedly threatened a teenaged girl with a knife to marry him when she was going to her college at Malakpet on Tuesday. The police launched a hunt for the eve-teaser after receiving a complaint from the girl. A resident of Dilsukhnagar, the girl was intercepted by the stalker who threatened to kill her if she married another person.

Woman official robbed

An employee of Municipal Administration Department, V. Surya Kumari (35), lost her entire salary of Rs. 10,000 when thieves picked her handbag while travelling in an APSRTC bus (route no. 113) on Tuesday. The victim boarded the bus at AC Guards. She noticed the theft after getting down at Amberpet.

21 dancers arrested

The police Task Force (Central) team on Tuesday raided Maharaja Bar at SD Road in Secunderabad and arrested 21 female dancers on the charge of performing obscene dances. Six female dancers were taken into custody on a similar charge by the Task Force North team after raiding Ballarina Bar in Secunderabad.

VCDs seized

The Task Force police raided POP Vision VCD Library at Trimulgherry and seized 775 pirated VCDs of different movies, 66 porno film VCDs, 109 pirated MP-3 and 87 pirated DVDs. The video shop owners -- M. Madhusudhan and Kesari Chand -- were arrested.
