Cyberabad police to have more officers

HYDERABAD, AUG. 4. All the police stations under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate jurisdiction except for Ibrahimpatnam, Manchala, Yacharam, Kandukur and Maheswaram, will have Inspectors as Station House Officers. The Government on Wednesday reportedly took a decision to this effect. Hitherto, Sub-Inspectors were the SHOs in Cyberabad.

New division

A new law and order division of Ibrahimpatnam will be carved out including these five police stations, it is learnt. The Government had sanctioned an additional two Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, four Assistant Commissioners of Police, 36 Inspectors, 95 Sub-Inspectors, 35 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 109 head constables and 367 constables.

Following is the break-up of the additional strength: Law and Order- 1 ACP, 16 Inspectors, 36 SIs, 27 ASIs, 53 HCs and 212 PCs, VIP Security Wing- 1 Addl. DCP, 1 Armed Reserve ACP, 3 AR Inspectors, 12 AR SIs, 6 AR ASIs, 36 AR HCs and 144 AR PCs.

Traffic- 1 Addl. DCP, 1 ACP, 4 Inspectors, 8 ASIs, 4 HCs and PCs 80, Detective Department- 4 Inspectors, 12 SIs, 12 HCs and 36 PCs. Special Branch- 1ACP, 3 Inspectors, 10 SIs, 20 HCs and 4 PCs, Counter Intelligence- 1 ACP, 6 Inspectors, 10 SIs and 20 HCs.
