TRS returned money, say ticket aspirants

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, AUG. 4. A few Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) aspirants who did not get ticket to contest the last Assembly elections have claimed that they took back the Rs. 10,000 paid to the party at the time of making applications for ticket.

Conspiracy alleged

The filing of criminal case against the TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was a conspiracy of a few to defame him and they deliberately did not claim refund, the eight aspirants claimed in a press release here. They said the party had announced publicly that those who did not get the ticket were asked to take back the money after producing the receipts. It was applicable to both who aspired for ticket, allotted to Congress in the alliance and also to those who were denied ticket from among the seats contested by the TRS.
