Nutan's husband dies in Mumbai fire
MUMBAI,
AUG. 4.
The husband of the well-known filmstar of yesteryear, Nutan, died in a fire that broke out on the 31st storey of a building in Colaba in south Mumbai, police said today.
The body of Rajneesh Behl, father of actor Mohnish Behl, was found almost four hours after the fire broke out on the top-floor of `Sagar-Sangeet' building late last night.
Although fire brigade personnel had asked the residents of the building to evacuate it, they did not realise that Behl was inside the top-floor flat in which the fire had erupted.
His son Mohnish was also away on a shooting and arrived later in the night, police said, adding the existence of the body came to light with the fire fighting operation concluding around 4 a.m.
Over 10 fire tenders and high speed elevators were pressed into service to contain the fire while power supply was disconnected, fire brigade sources said.
