More rain in store

Though the city received only 0.3 mm (till 8.30 p.m.) rain on Thursday, the forecast for Friday is more rain or showers. Temperatures recorded were a maximum of 29.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.1 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 75 per cent.

Entrance test results

Entrance examination results for admission into M.E. (Mechanical-CAD/CAM) and M.E. (Tool Design) offered by the Central Institute of Tool Design and Osmania University, have been released and displayed at www.citdindia.org plus in the institutes concerned. Second phase of counselling for admission is on Saturday. More information is available on phone Nos. 23776156 and 23771959.

Invited

The former Minister, Basheeruddin Babu Khan, has been invited to join a delegation of minority communities from all over the country to meet the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and the Defence Minister, Shivraj Patil, at New Delhi on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The delegation is also slated to meet the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi. The Nawab of Arcot, Mohammed Ali, will head the team.

Free asthma camp

The Agarwal Samaj here will conduct a free asthma camp between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Sunday, at its charitable clinic in Domalguda.

A chest physician, Sandeep Saboo, will screen patients for all chest-related diseases.

The clinic also offers the services of a general physician and is open Monday to Saturday, between 4.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.
