HASSAN, AUG. 6. S.R. Range Gowda, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, who was killed during an exchange of fire with militants, was cremated with State honours in Dudda hobli of Hassan district on Friday. The body was brought to Dudda, his native village, on Friday morning from Bangalore. Range Gowda was among the nine security personnel killed during Thursday's attack on a CRPF post by militants in Rajbagh locality of Srinagar. The Deputy Commissioner, K.H. Ashwathanarayana Gowda, and the Additional Superintendent of Police, B.S. Prakash, were present on the occasion.
