Grenade attack on BSF bus

By Sushanta Talukdar

GUWAHATI, AUG. 7. Four persons, including three personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when suspected militants of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) lobbed a grenade on a BSF bus in Machkhowa area here tonight. The condition of one of the injured BSF personnel has been stated to be critical.

Police suspect that it could be the handiwork of the ULFA as the outfit makes such attacks on security forces on the eve of the Independence Day every year to prove its presence. The injured BSF personnel were admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital, while the injured civilian was rushed to the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital.
