KOZHIKODE, AUG. 7. Pranamam, a visual symphony conceived and directed by Soorya Krishnamoorthy as a passionate tribute to legendary singer Mohammed Rafi, will be staged at the Gujarathi Hall here at 7 p.m. on August 9. Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, the Mayor, Thottathil Raveendran said that the reception programme organised for the stage show, "Pranamam", will be inaugurated by Jnanpeeth laureate, M.T. Vasudevan Nair. Pranamam is a symphony with visual effects based on raga "Darbari Kannada", a harmonious blend of khayals in Hindustani music and keerthanas in Carnatic music.
