CHENNAI, AUG. 7. Silicontech Infosystems India, a multi-biometrics security technology company, has come out with cost effective biometric security solutions to meet the growing demand for biometric products and solutions across multiple security markets. Face Track access control system, the latest addition to the line of conventional security and access control products offered by the company, uses a fool proof method that increases the site security and provides a method of instantly knowing the identity of those entering a facility. According to C. K. Vipin (member-Technical), Silicontech Infosystems, a user has a personal user profile stored on a computer system. When the user presents him for authentication, the new scan is compared to the stored one for a match. If there is a match, access is granted. The authentication of a person's identity is based on facial template, he said. The company offers the products in strategic alliance partnership with Cognitec Systems GmbH, a leading global vendor of FRT (facial recognition technology) products.
