Hiroshima & Nagasaki

Sir, — August 9 marks the 59th anniversary of the atomic bomb attack on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. Thousands were killed, several thousands more were injured and subsequent generations continue to suffer from the after-effects. However, nuclear arsenals have continued to grow. It is time a concerted effort is made to rid the world of all weapons of mass destruction.
