KOCHI, AUG. 8. Even though Malayalis do not bring out their full potential, Kerala has emerged as the most developed State next only to Punjab, the Minister for Fisheries, K.V. Thomas, has said. He was speaking after inaugurating the Global Malayali Meet - 2004 at Hotel Le Meridien here today. Speaking at the function, Cardinal Mar Varkey Vithayathil said that wrong values from other cultures should not be imbibed during the process of development. Brahmachari Saigon P. Anand of Nileswaram Sree Narayanashramam in his address said that while Malayalis often attain material development, they give little care to psychological and biological health. That had led to the present crisis in society. The chairman of the Global Malayali Council, Varghese Moolan, presided.
