Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, AUG. 8. The All-India Congress Committee general secretary, Salman Khurshid, has said coordination between the party and the Government here was excellent, which augured well for the Union Territory's development. Mr. Khurshid told newsmen today along with the AICC secretary, K.B. Krishnamoorthy, MP, that though the Union Territory was small in area , it was unique from the point of view of the growth of the Congress. "I see in many ways that Pondicherry has been a bastion of the Congress and we can energise the party more strongly in different parts of South India as Pondicherry has strong links with Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala." Mr. Khurshid assured partymen of cooperation and assistance from Delhi to help develop Pondicherry.
