NELLORE, AUG.8. The bodies of a mother and son were found dumped in a canal near the Pennar river in Porlukatta here. According to police, Khader Unnisa alias Buddamma (31), whose husband is said to be mentally unstable, allegedly had an affair with a bachelor, Sheikh Mahmood (23), of Venkateswarapuram. The husband, who suspected Buddamma's fidelity, allegedly he took her to the fields and strangled her. Since her son, Arif (8), was present, he too was put to death and the bodies were dumped in the canal. The police said the incident might have taken place on Saturday night, but the crime came to light only on Sunday afternoon.
