Divyasri, Pratyusha take titles

SRIKALAHASTHI, AUG. 8. Ch. Divyasri of Krishna and B. Pratyusha of East Godavari emerged champions in the under-11 and under-seven categories at the Andhra State sub-junior chess championship, which concluded at Mahesh Kalyan Sadan here on Sunday. Divyasri and Pratyusha finished with 4.5 points each at the end of final round to clinch the issue.

The Results: Final round: Under-11: Ch. Divyasri (4.5) drew with N. Sravani (3.5); K. Sai Nirupama (4) bt M. Veena Mounika (3): D. Lokeswari (3) bt G. Chandrika (3); S. Priyanka (Ctr) bt Shaikh Shehnaz Banu (3); K.G.P. Priyanka (2) lost to P. Sreelekha (3): V. Sushmitha (1) lost to A. Bhavana (3); P. Praveena (1) lost to B. Nikhila (2).

Under-7: B. Pratyusha (4.5) bt P. Ananya Deepthi (2); M. Navya Vaishnavi (4) bt M. Nusrath (3); K. Deepika (3.5) bt R. Divya Meghana (0); B. Pratibha (2) bt R. Harika (1).
