HYDERABAD, AUG. 8. The APCC Doctors' Cell on Sunday criticised the Mahajan Sangarshana Samiti for organising a rally of children with heart diseases which resulted in the death of a 13-year-old boy. D. Shankar, chairman, and Y.V. Rajasekhar Reddy, convener, in a statement issued here said that a prior representation to the Government by the parents of such children could have resulted in a better outcome and prevented the death. "It is an unpardonable act by the organisers to pool hundreds of sick children in a place which is devoid of emergency medical facilities." They suggested to political parties to have `better understanding' of various illnesses before organising such rallies. "We hope they would rise above their meagre political gains to help the needy."
