BANGALORE, AUG. 8. A watchman at a construction site died after he was hit with a stone by the assailants in Yelagondanapalya in Ashok Nagar Police Station limits on Saturday.The police said Gupendra (30) was guarding the site for the past two months and was staying in a makeshift house. His enemies allegedly hit him with a stone, the police said. His body was found on Sunday.
Three die in accidents
Three persons were killed in road accidents reported in the city on Sunday. A 45-year-old man crossing the road was hit by a BMTC bus at Bapuji Nagar on Mysore Road on Saturday. He died on his way to the hospital. Another pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car at Konanakunte Cross in Banashankari Traffic Police Station limits on Saturday. The police gave the name of the victim as Kumar (30) of Chikkasandra. A scooterist was killed when he was hit by a car on Bellendur Ring Road on Friday night. The police identified the victim as Babu Amir Jan (28) of Sarjapur.
Man found dead
A 35-year-old man, who had gone to drink water at Kengri Commercial Tax office, fainted and died on Saturday. He is 5 feet 6 inches in height, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a red shirt and a paid cement coloured trousers.
Ganja seized
The City Crime Branch police on Saturday arrested two persons and seized "ganja" from them.
