Arrested for double murder

NEW DELHI, AUG. 8. Two young brothers, who allegedly killed their maternal grandfather and uncle at Geeta Colony in East Delhi on August 5, have been arrested.

The police said Hasim (22) and his brother, Anees (19), had stabbed their grandfather, Maqsood (80) and Tasleem (50) on a business dispute. The brothers and their maternal relatives were both in the business of ice slabs. Recently, a fight ensued between them over pricing of slaps that was causing monitory loss to Hasim and Anees. Following several rounds of altercations, the brothers finally decided to eliminate their uncle, Tasleem. On the August 5 night, they attacked him with knives just outside his shop. Maqsood tried to intervene upon which he was also stabbed. Both succumbed to their injuries.
