KATHMANDU, AUG. 8. India has asked Nepal to take action against a private cable network here for its suspected links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, saying it has "credible information" that the international criminal invested heavily in the company. The Government of India has "credible information" that Dawood, who is accused of masterminding the 1993 bombings in Mumbai, had invested heavily in the Space Time Network, a private cable network and publishing house in Kathmandu, the Indian embassy said in a letter to the Nepalese Foreign Ministry. A Nepalese Foreign Ministry official said the kingdom was investigating the matter. PTI
