KOZHIKODE, AUG. 9. "Kunhamman", the cartoon character created by the late B.M. Gafoor, and popularised through Mathrubhoomi daily, is being launched on television screen as an animation series. Arrangements have been made for screening "Kunhamman" on Kairali television channel, according to the cartoonist's son, Mr. Tanveer Gafoor, who believes "this is going to mark the rebirth of Gafoor" and that it would be "my obeisance to my father". The Chairman of the television company, Mamootty, has already offered his full support to the venture. "Kunhamman" 's "reincarnation", as Mr. Tanveer described it at his press conference here today, would be under the banner of the Bangalore-based IT firm, Aufait.
