TCE claims both titles

MADURAI, AUG. 9. Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai won the men's and women's team titles in the Anna University ninth zone inter-Engineering college chess tournament at KLN College of Engineering campus, Pottapalayam, near here, on Sunday.

Final placings (Men): 1. Thiagarajar College of Engg 29.5 pts; 2. Alagappa Chettiar College of Engg and Tech, Karaikudi 28.5.

Women: 1. Thiagarajar College of Engg 21.5 pts; 2. KLN College of Engg, Pottapalayam 21; 3. ACCET, Karaikudi 20.
