Coimbatore Air Cargo facility's feat
COIMBATORE: The International air-cargo operations of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has been listed in the International Air Transporters Association (IATA) publication. Though the air-cargo operations led to the recognition of Coimbatore as customs airport in 2001 itself, the facility is listed in the information column of The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT) rulebook of IATA only in its 61st edition published in June this year, according to customhouse agency sources.
The shippers and international freight forwarders while choosing their destination airport and to ascertain the customs notified airports in the country with clearing facility refer to TACT rulebook.
