Hindustan Zinc gets recognition

VISAKHAPATNAM: Hindustan Zinc Ltd. has been awarded the OHSAS-18001 certification by Registro Italiano Navale (RINA) of Italy, for the smelter's occupational health and safety management systems. A company spokesman said on Tuesday that the zinc smelter, which had already received RINA's ISO-9001: 2000 and ISO-14001 certifications for its quality and environmental managements systems respectively, "is on track to obtain the Social Accountability-8000 certification''.
