Nayak stops Amar's run
BANGALORE,
AUG. 10.
Adip Nayak stopped the winning run of top seed V. Amar in the boys' under-19 singles final with a creditable 15-10, 15-6 victory in the Anandashram State junior ranking badminton championship at Canara Union here on Tuesday.
The results (all finals): Boys: Under-19: singles: Adip Nayak bt V. Amar 15-10, 15-6. Doubles: B.S. Phalgun/Shashank Achar bt Anup Kiran/ M.C. Darshan 15-12, 15-2.
Under-16: singles: M.D. Anup Kiran bt D.S. Samarth 15-10, 15-13.
Under-13: singles: Prakash Jolly bt Pratap Menon 15-8, 15-2.
Girls: Under-19: singles: G.M. Nischitha bt V. Ruth Misha 11-6, 11-4. Under-13: singles: Aniktha Ashok bt Taanya Ravi 11-2, 11-8.
Under-16: doubles: Monisha Vinayak/G.M. Nischitha bt Ashwini Ponnappa/Nitya Sosale 15-11, 16-17, 15-12.
