ADILABAD, AUG. 10. To control the outbreak of epidemics in the rural areas, special teams have been formed to monitor the situation regularly. Reviewing the situation here on Tuesday, the district Collector, Vikas Raj, stressed on sanitation and supply of clean and chlorinated water. The teams should collect blood smears wherever needed. An epidemic control intensive programme would be implemented in coming 15 days. Two teams per mandal, comprising panchayat raj officials, Rural Water Supply engineers and health staff, would cover three villages everyday. The Joint Collector, V. Durgadas, expressed unhappiness over bad sanitary conditions in Nirmal and Mancherial municipalities. The ITDA Project Officer, V. Sheshadri, the Asifabad Sub-Collector, Siddharth Jain, the District Medical and Health Officer, M. Kesava Rao, and others were present.
