Aid appeal for Bangladesh

DHAKA: The U.N. has made a `flash appeal' for $210 millions to help millions of Bangladesh flood victims. The U.N. Country Representative, Jorgan Lissner, said the money was needed to "help the very poor survive the next six months." He said, "Millions of people are facing food insecurity and helplessness" owing to one of the worst floods ever . The floods in July-August submerged nearly two-thirds of Bangladesh in which more than 750 persons were killed.
