Raja, Mageshwari clinch titles

COIMBATORE, AUG. 12. P. Raja Pandian of Loyola College, Chennai, and K. Mageshwari of Nirmala College, Coimbatore, clinched the boys' and girls' titles in the freedom marathon race conducted in commemoration of the Independence Day and the Olympics at the Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science (BACAS) here on Thursday.

The race was organised by BACAS and the Coimbatore Christian Sports Fellowship.

Final standings: Boys: 1. P. Raja Pandian, Loyola College (Chennai), 2. P. Bharathi Raja (Cheran Art and Science, Kangayam), 3. Harihara Suthan (Cheran Art and Science, Kangayam).

Girls: 1. K. Mageshwari (Nirmala College, Coimbatore), 2. T. Pushpalatha (Navarasam Arts and Science, Erode), 3. G. Mageshwari (Nirmala College, Coimbatore).
