ANANTAPUR, AUG. 12. The revenue and police officials have settled the problem of social boycott in Kottalapalli village of Bukkaraya Samudram mandal in the district amicably. On the directions of the district Collector, Y.V. Anuradha, a team consisting of the Revenue Divisional Officer, the deputy Superintendent of Police and the Mandal Revenue Officer visited the village yesterday and sorted out the problem. The Collector today clarified that there was some social friction in the village due to differences between two communities involving some individuals owing allegiance to a political party. The differences were sorted out and social friction was subsided. A police picket was set up in the village as a precautionary measure.
