NEW DELHI, AUG. 12. A crucial meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) tonight decided to watch the developments in Manipur where the Congress-led Ibobi Singh Government withdrew the controversial Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act from the municipal limits of Imphal city on a trial basis earlier in the day. "We are watching the developments in the State and are aware of the situation there,'' the Defence Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, and the Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, told presspersons after the two-hour long meeting of the CCPA at 7, Race Course Road here.
