2.2 mm rainfall recorded

The city recorded 2.2 mm of rainfall up to 8.30 p.m. on Thursday and more rain has been forecast for Friday. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a maximum of 21.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.4 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 78 per cent.

Computer

training

IQRA Society for Career Guidance and Solus Informatics will conduct a free one-week training programme on `Computer hardware and networking' from August 15. It will be held on the premises of Solus Informatics at Shanti Nilaya, behind HUDA Mytrivanam Complex in Ameerpet. Those interested may register their names in person or over phone at 55688440, before August 15, everyday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

MBA exams

The first year examination for the Master of Business Administration, being offered by the Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, will commence from August 17. Hall tickets have already been despatched. Those who have not received their hall tickets may obtain a duplicate by submitting a DD for Rs. 40, drawn in favour of the Director, PGRRCDE, Osmania University, and two passport-sized photographs.

Hall tickets for eligible candidates to appear for the entrance test to the course of Bachelor of Education, Special Education (Hearing Impaired), conducted by the Institute of Advanced Study in Education, Osmania University have been despatched. The test will be held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on August 22. Those who have not received their hall tickets may contact the Principal, College of Teacher Education, Andhra Mahila Sabha, Osmania University Road.

PRSI meeting

The national council of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) will meet here on August 28 to finalise the calendar of events of issues pertaining to professional excellence programmes to be taken up. The arrangements for the next PRSI conference, to be held at Kolkata in December, 2004, will also be discussed. Details can be had over phone number 23233432.
