The city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday. There were "traces" of rainfall. The relative humidity was 65 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19.1 degrees Celsius. The airport received 0.6 mm rainfall. The relative humidity was 86 per cent.

The forecast for Friday is: the sky will be generally cloudy with one or two spells of light rain.

BU admissions

up to August 23

Bangalore University has said that the last date for admission to second and third year BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBM, BFA, B.Sc (FAD), B.Sc (Speech and Hearing) and BHM courses of annual scheme for 2004-2005 has been extended to August 23 with a penal fee of Rs. 200. The principals of the affiliated colleges offering these courses may admit students up to that date, according to a university release.
