SALEM, AUG. 13. Bharathi Vidyalaya HSS (BVHSS) coasted to a comfortable five-wicket win over Mallur Boys HSS in the quarterfinals of the inter-school inter-city cricket tournament for the Parle Cup here today. Thennarasu did a good job compiling a fluent 51 for Mallur. However, E. Ganesh of BVHSS, who scalped five wickets for 20 runs, overshadowed his efforts.
Montfort School 160 for seven (Arvind Ganapathy 30) lost to Neelambal Subramaniam HSS 161 for five (Sivaprakash 75 n.o., Sivaraman 37).
Mallur Boys HSS 147 (Thennarasu 51, E. Ganesh five for 20) lost to Bharathi Vidyalaya HSS 149 for five (Chinnamani 43, Tamilselvan three for 17).
Sarkarkollapatti Boys HSS 151 (Vinod 38) bt Vidya Mandir HSS, Steel Plant, 82 (Kirthanan three for 22, Mahendran three for 17).
