Murder accused lynched in court

NAGPUR, AUG. 13. An accused involved in several crimes including murder was lynched by a mob in the premises of a local court in broad daylight even as the police constables escorting him fled the scene.

The Joint Commissioner of Police, Rajendra Sonawae, said AppuYadav alias Kalicharan, against whom at least 21 criminal cases had been registered with the Jaripatka police station, was brought to court number seven along with three other accused. A mob suddenly entered the court room and stabbed Appu with knives and swords, killing him on the spot. The other three accused Sunil Balaghati, Gedam and Ramteke, were also injured and admitted to hospital.
