RAJAHMUNDRY, AUG.14. The 49th ONGC Day celebrations were held at the base complex here today with gaiety and fervour. The release of its new Corporate Logo and the Flag announcing the identity changes, was the highlight.The focus was on the strategic management of change for the future growth of the organisation.
`Enviable status'
Addressing a large gathering after unfurling the flag, C. Lal, Executive Director and Asset Manager (KG Project), said that the ONGC had been consistently ranked No-1 and achieving the highest net profit in the Indian industry for more than a decade continuously. With the highest net of Rs.40,000 crores, the company had an enviable status amongst all Indian corporates, he said.
Appeal to employees
Mr. Lal pointed out that the Rajahmundry Asset has also been performing commendably in all spheres of activities -- exploration, drilling, production and value addition. He however cautioned employees against resting on the past laurels and urged them to continue to apply themselves and achieve further improvement. He urged the employees to rededicate themselves for achieving the objectives of the ONGC. Later, Mr. Lal and other senior officials interacted with retired employees of the ONGC. Mr. Lal requested the retired staff to share their experiences with the present employees.
