Marad case: 26 get jail term

KOZHIKODE, AUG. 14. The Special Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Kozhikode, has sentenced 26 persons accused in two separate cases in connection with the communal riots that rocked Marad in January, 2002. The Magistrate, Ananthakrishna Navada, had on Friday sentenced 17 persons to 15 months rigorous imprisonment under various sections after they were found guilty of flouting the ban orders.
