Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to George Monbiot's article, `It is easier to deny climate change' (Aug. 13). According to the author, we are living in an age of happiness, health and peace that will not last long. Though it may seem like a doomsday prophecy the reality is impending. It should worry all. The worldwide polarisation due to the rich grabbing all the global resources, sociological fallouts that offset the economic gains, and technology gaining the upper hand over mankind are all disturbing. Serious note should be taken of these phenomena as well as the climatic changes, and corrective action taken. They should not be brushed aside. Surely, the survival of the fittest policy should not be allowed to come true, favouring technology over mankind that invented it.
