Aruna is best

HYDERABAD, AUG. 15. Students of Andhra Pradesh Sports School (APSS) G. Aruna Rani was adjudged `best lifter' and in the girls' section while G. Janardhan was adjudged `strongest lifter' among the boys and their institution APSS finished with a haul of 13 medals in the 28th men's and 19th women's AP State weightlifting championships which was held at Cudappah on August 13 and 14 according to information received here today.

The winners: Boys: juniors: G. Nagaraju (69 kgs gold); sub-juniors: G.S.V. Phani Kumar (62 kgs gold), V. Ranjit Kumar (62 kgs bronze), G. Janadhan (77 kgs gold).

Girls: juniors: G. Aruna Rani (53 kgs silver), K. Sandhya Rani (53 kgs silver), V. Chinnari (63 kgs gold), A. Jyothi (63 kgs bronze), P. Lakshmi (69 kgs gold); sub-juniors: J. Gowthami (48 kgs bronze), G. Aruna Rani (53 kgs gold), K. Sandhya Rani (53 kgs silver), A. Jyothi (63 kgs gold).
