Rainbow holds BEL

BANGALORE, AUG. 15. Rainbow HC held BEL to a 1-1 draw against BEL in a Deccan Herald `A' division hockey league encounter on Sunday. Mahendran put Rainbow ahead with a penalty corner goal in the 44th minute, but two minutes later Jeeva equalised for BEL.

In another match, ASC `B' registered a 2-0 win over Postal. Sanjay Tete (20th) and Ingocha Singh (57th) were the goal-scorers.

ASC `B' now has 11 points from six matches and is tied with ITI and MEG `B'. All the three teams, along with SA `B' (12 points), have a chance of finishing second in the league. ASC `A' has already won the league title.
