New Horizon takes volleyball title

BANGALORE, AUG. 15. New Horizon English School scored a spectacular 25-21, 25-20 victory over Jyoti Kendriya Vidyalaya to lift the boys' under-17 title in the State-level inter-school volleyball tournament at the New Horizon school courts here on Sunday.

The results (all finals):

Basketball: Boys: Under-13: Vidya Niketan bt New Horizon PS 40-32. Under-17: S. Joseph's Indian HS bt GSS, Vidyanagar 50-38.

Girls: Under-13: Mallya Aditi Int. bt Cluny Convent 25-18. Under-17: Mary Immaculate HS bt Nirmala Rani HS 37-21.

Volleyball: Boys: Under-17: New Horizon bt Jyoti Kendriya Vidyalaya 25-21, 25-20. Girls Under-17: Carmel Convent bt New Horizon 25-16, 25-19.
