Crowning glory for Ganesh

CHENNAI, AUG. 15. Ganesh Prashad capitalised on a great start to post a convincing win in the first race of the 110-150cc group-D category of the UCAL National Racing Championship (1st leg) at the MMSC track in Sriperumbudur on Sunday.

Prasad's domination was steady, and by the end he had opened up a five-second gap over second-placed Harry Sylvestor. Sylvestor, in turn, finished 12 seconds ahead of Gopi V. The trio made it to the podium ceremony in the same order after the third race in the category.

Muruganand won the first race in the 160-250cc category by a three-second margin; but

Vinod pipped him by a little over 0.2 seconds to win the second race.

Srikhand Raja won two races in the 110-150cc category and another in the 80-110cc category.
