Sri Lanka wins

COLOMBO, AUG. 15. Left-arm seamer Chaminda Vaas bowled a lethal spell to take six wickets on Sunday as Sri Lanka crushed South Africa by 313 runs in the second Test match and clinched the series 1-0 — its first ever Test series win over the visitor.

Chasing a massive victory target of 493 runs, South Africa was dismissed for 179 runs on the final day at Colombo's Sinhalese Sports Club ground. — AP
