MYSORE, AUG. 17. The lanky Ruth Misha, a product of the Prakash Badminton Academy, dominated the scene in the girls' section by bagging a triple (Under-19, Under-16 singles & doubles) crown in the Karnataka State junior badminton championships held at the University gymnasium hall here on Tuesday. Ankita Ashok (U-13 singles and doubles), Prakash Jolly (Under-13 singles and doubles), G.M. Nischitha (U-19 singles and doubles) and Aditya R Prakash (Under-16 singles and doubles) won double crowns.
Sub-junior boys U-16: Aditya Prakash (Mandya) bt B.S. Anup (Mandya) 12-15, 15-6, 15-13. Doubles: Aditya Prakash & B.J. Anup bt D.S. Samarth & V.M. Dheeraj 15-3, 15-2.
Boys Ur-13 singles: Prakash Jolly bt Pratap Menon 15-8, 15-2. Doubles: Prakash Jolly & M. Pratap bt Rahul R & Anirudh 15-13, 2-15, 15-7.
Junior Girls U-19 singles: Ruth Misha bt S.G. Nischitha 11-8, 11-8. Doubles: G.M. Nischitha & Monisha Vinayak bt Soumya Padhye & Varsha V Belavadi 8-15, 15-8, 15-8.
Sub-junior Girls U-16: V. Ruth Misha bt G.M. Nischitha 7-11, 11-8, 11-2. Doubles: Ruth Misha & Shruthi Sridhar bt Nitya Sasale & Ashwini Ponnappa 15-8, 15-9.
Girls U-13 singles: Ankitha Ashok bt Taanya Ravi 12-13, 11-3, 13-12; Doubles: Ankitha Ashok & K. Sonal More bt Nirat Seghal & Taanya Ravi 15-6, 6-15, 15-10.
