Rupee recovers
The rupee ended sharply higher against the U.S. currency today after fresh trade inflows induced a moderate relief-rally, helped partly by a slide in crude oil prices due to the assurance given by the Venezuelan President to guarantee world oil market stability.
In fairly volatile trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee closed at 46.35/36 a dollar, a five paise recovery from yesterday's finish of 46.40/41 and a sharp rally from the opening quote of 46.42/44. PTI
