Maruti improves rank in JD Power study

NEW DELHI, AUG. 17. Maruti Udyog has been ranked the highest in automotive sales satisfaction followed by Skoda and Fiat, according to a consumer survey conducted by the research firm, J. D. Power Asia-Pacific. Maruti jumped two positions over the last year's rankings and along with Skoda, which stood ninth last year, and Fiat, which jumped five positions, ranked higher than the industry average in the J D Power 2004 Sales Satisfaction Index.

Ford captured the fourth position followed by Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Opel. Toyota, Tata Motors, Honda Siel and Mahindra were at the bottom of the list.
