SBI's ATM on wheels in Goa

PANAJI, AUG 17. State Bank of India today launched its first mobile ATM — ATM on Wheels — in Goa. It has plans to launch five more such ATMs on a trial basis in different parts of the country.

The Goa Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, launched the ATM on Wheels at his official residence. Speaking to reporters after the launch, the Chief General Manager (Maharashtra and Goa Circle) of SBI, A. Ramesh Kumar, noted that the ATM would cater to the needs of customers in remote areas in North Goa.

He said Goa had been a testing ground for several innovative products of SBI. The second ATM on Wheels would shortly be launched in Mumbai and the third again would be in South Goa, he said. — Our Special Correspondent
