Congress steps up attack against KCR
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
AUG. 17.
The war of words between the Congress and the TRS is hotting up with leaders of both parties further hardening their stand.
The TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao's repeated claims that he has a direct `Delhi connection' which even the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, cannot boast of, have queered the pitch for Mr. Rao further now.
Even his erstwhile admirers, leaders of the Telangana Regional Congress Coordination Committee (TRCCC), say openly: "KCR can plough the lone furrow if he believes he has more strength than us." The TRCCC, which met here the other day, decided to convince the party high command to break the alliance with the TRS in the coming local body elections.
Reacting sharply to Mr. Rao's `intemperate' outbursts against the Congress leadership, K. Kesava Rao, K.R. Amos and B. Gangaram, asked the TRS leadership on Tuesday to "honour the coalition dharma."
