YSR tunes in to Tamil mode

The Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, stuck to the `Be a Roman while in Rome' policy while interacting with the villagers in the Sathyavedu constituency on the Tamil Nadu border.

At Madanambedu village he switched over to broken Tamil, when the sarpanch, Selvi told him in Tamil that their village was not covered under the Government housing programme and was being subjected to frequent power cuts. Interrupting her, Dr. Reddy asked her "eththanai" (how many) houses she wanted and asked whether `ayiram' (one thousand) would be enough. When she said yes, Dr. Reddy responded with an, `appadiye' (OK) regaling the villagers.
