The lynching of gangster Akku Yadav has taken an unexpected turn here with about 500 women deciding to court arrest tomorrow when the five women arrested in the case are produced in the court for extension of their police remand.
Anjanabai Kisan Borkar (60), Leela Raghynath Sangole (45), Bhaagirathabai Harichand Adikane (50), Savita Jitu Wanjari (26) and Pinki Ajay Shambharkar (23) were arrested by the CID for allegedly murdering Akku Yadav in the courtroom on August 13.
Akku Yadav who is said to have spread a reign of terror in the localities of Kasturba Nagar and Jaripatka in North Nagpur by allegedly committing murders, rapes and extortion was brought to the court for remand by the police when he was attacked by a mob of over 150, including a large number of women and stabbed to death. — UNI
