Crime Watch

Jewellery stolen

Thieves took away 50 tolas of silver ornaments from Gandimysamma temple in Gandhinagar police station area on Monday night. A local person, Sri Shailam, lodged a complaint stating that the offenders had broken lock of the gate and took away the property, the police said.

Dancers held

Four female dancers allegedly performing obscene dances at the King's Palace bar in Abids were arrested by the local police on Monday. The bar owner, Darshan Goud, was also taken into custody on the charge of violating the bar licence conditions.

In another case, the Ramgopalpet police raided the Silver Plate bar near Paradise circle and arrested its manager, Narayana and seven female dancers, on the charge of organising and performing obscene dances.
