Going green

NEW DELHI, AUG.17. Responding to the Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit's call for planting more trees, the University College of Medical Sciences & G.T.B. Hospital at Dilshad Garden went ahead and established a Garden Club. The club in turn identified certain brown patches in need of greening and approached the Horticulture Department of the Delhi Administration to donate saplings. On Tuesday, 120 saplings were planted by the Principal, Medical Superintendent and other members of the Garden Club and the UCMS-GTBH family as part of a drive to make the institution more "garden-friendly".
